X Marks the Spot

The nurses need to often check for a pulse in her feet in order to determine that her heart is circulating the blood properly. To make this easier they marked the spot where it is easiest to find the pulse with an X. Her heart seems to be circulating the blood fine all on its own.

We are still waiting word on when the permanent pacemaker will be put in. She has an external one now for the few times her heart goes a little crazy.

For the most part the doctors are amazed at her recovery. On Monday afternoon her heart stopped beating momentarily. The doctors and nurses came running with the crash cart in tow. Twenty-four hours later she was sitting up in bed (These $35,000 hospital beds convert to a recliner.) She was just sitting there watching all the activity down the hall.

The doctors are very happy with the rate of her recovery and so are we.
