Elaine has had a good day. They did dialysis and that really wears her out. Happily it only happens every other day. They took off 3 liters of liquid and by looking, most of the swelling has gone. The doctors came by and said she looks good and is doing well. She is on a little bit of blood pressure med to keep her blood pressure up but that is her only IV. She stood up twice today and she held her frame straight. Everyone was very impressed! If she hadn't just done dialysis then they figured she might have been able to take a couple steps. I'm sure she will do that soon. The physical therapist was really impressed with her strength and said she gets stronger every day.
Yesterday one of the doctors asked Elaine if there was anything she needed from him before he left. Her response, " a miracle." He told her that she has already had many miracles and now it will just take hard work. She is more than willing to work hard! I told her that while hard work is needed, we won't stop praying for miracles. Thank you all for all your prayers... they are working!
Thank you soo much for keeping a daily update on Elaine. We continue to pray for her and her recovery. Elaine has always been positive and realistic, and a beutiful witness of many miracles. We love her and miss her!!!
