Those of us who know Elaine know she has a heart of gold. She has a big heart. The heart of a Saint. She loves her family, her students, and all those around her. On March 29th her heart gave out. This is her story and how those who love her responded.

Update
Elaine was up a couple times today and even attempted to march in place. She was able to avoid dialysis for the second day in a row because her kidneys are working better. Yay! They did an ultrasound on her legs to make sure there weren't any clots and she passed with flying colors. Today was a little long because she felt queasy but she shows so much strength as she smiles through it. Bishop Atkinson and his wife stopped by this evening and it meant so much to both Lynn and Elaine. Thank you!

We are so glad to hear of the progress Elaine is making. Dale's experience with a pacemaker has been positive for the most part. He has it checked every 3 months--twice a year over the phone--twice a year at the cardiologist's office. Of course, she won't be able to use chain saws or work on the car any more! Ha, ha! Overall, he says it is great to be bionic.
