Reality

The excitement from this afternoon soon turned into harsh reality. She had a few episodes of difficulty maintaining a steady heart rate this afternoon. They were able to correct the heartbeat with medications and the external pacemaker.  At one point her heart stopped momentarily. The doctors and nurses came running into the room with the crash cart in tow. They were able to return her heart to normal in a short time. She is still moving in the right direction, but the reality is that it will just be a long bumpy road.
